The One that Started it all.

This is my favorite beer of all time. It’s what got me interested in craft beer as a whole. I remember the day I came home for winter break during my sophomore year of college, and my dad offered me one of these. I can’t remember if I had tried it before that point, but I certainly remembered it from then on. Felt like drinking liquid gold and it still feels that way to this day. I will always give this beer a five star rating. Whenever someone asks me about why my favorite brewery is flying dog, I tell them to try this beer. There are other reasons, but this is the main one. They have a tremendous number of great beers, many of which I’ll be reviewing later, but this one will always be my favorite. I’m not going to do a full-blown review on this but rather tell you to just go get some. If I had some kind of beer-related super power it would be to always have one of these in my fridge. I’d just open the door and there could be literally nothing else but this beer, and I’d be okay with it. It’s simple, yet powerful, tasteful yet bitter…hoppy and delicious. I will always share this beer. Damn it. Now I really want one. If you’ve never had this beer and have the opportunity to savor one, take it. Seize that opportunity immediately.

I guess it is true that you never forget your first.
