There’s always time to enjoy a pint.

Craft beer has taken most of the United States by storm, and I couldn’t be happier about it. It’s almost overwhelming how much there is to try, especially considering that there are over 78 different breweries in MD (according to the Maryland Office of Tourism website: https://www.visitmaryland.org/breweries). 78 may not seem like a lot but if you think of how much each brewery makes and how often they create new brews, there is certainly enough to keep me occupied. There’s also the fact that I will be trying beers from D.C., Virginia, Pennsylvania, and plenty of other states while I’m traveling, so I doubt I’ll ever see a shortage of “new” beer. I’ve already done plenty of exploring, but I can’t wait for more! The plan is to try something new every week, but we’ll see how that goes. Happy drinking and happy reading!

If it wasn’t clear already, I like to drink craft beer. I REALLY like to drink craft beer. I’ve brewed with my father before and poured some fresh hops into a brew tank at Sierra Nevada, but I’ve found that I should leave the brewing to the professionals. Not only do I like to drink it, but I love talking about it even more. I’ve recently been sharing my drinks with the dozens of followers I have on instagram, but I’ve found that it’s not enough to just post a picture. You’d think the sneer would mean I don’t like to share, but I love to! If you had asked me a sip for the “Numero Uno” I have in my hand, I would have gladly passed it along. I wanted to start a blog to create more of a conversation around the topic, and share what I enjoy drinking so that you can enjoy too. Sitting down to have a beer with a friend, family member, stranger, or just yourself is such a joy, but we can’t always do that in our overscheduled and overstimulated lives. That is what I urge you to do with these blog recommendations...sit back, have a beer (preferably something new), take a breath, and enjoy!

P.S. If you don’t like one of my recommendations, that’s fine. Simple rule: if you don’t like it, don’t drink it.
